Akira Taylor LCSW
I am an LCSW and I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree of Integrated Studies in Communications, Spanish, and Psychology from Weber State University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah, graduating summa cum laude. I was nominated most outstanding student and am a member of The National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi by election of the Chapter at The University of Utah. I motivate people to turn stumbling blocks into stepping-stones no matter what life throws in their path. I enjoy aiding clients to drop their stories, converting their seeming tragedies into their very strengths. I have worked in mental health therapy, addiction treatment centers, in-patient psychiatric care, medical social work, crisis work, and hospice, as well as business, personal, and life coaching. I have counseled and coached clients dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, codependency, addiction, physical health problems, familial problems, and more. I believe that being fully present with clients and truly hearing where they are coming from is essential.
