Carrie Ovard, LCMHC
Carrie is a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She has been practicing since 2014 and works with all ages. Carrie received her Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and is currently working on getting her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy specializing in sex therapy with Northcentral University. She was awarded a Presidential Scholarship to obtain her doctoral degree. Carrie was also nominated and awarded membership with the National Society of Leadership and Success.
Carrie understands the complexity of how trauma can impact our lives whether it is trauma that happens directly to us or indirectly through others. Sometimes our trauma and life experiences can make us hide authentic parts of ourselves, interfere with our physical health and can occur from various experiences whether large or small. Carrie specializes in EMDR, Sex Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma FocusedCognitive Behavioral Therapy and so much more. She uses different tactics for treatment combined with creativity to create the needed outcome. She loves working with motivated clients that are seeking life changes and healing. When Carrie is not helping others to reach their desired goals, she is spending time with her family, spoiling her grandkids, traveling, or trying new hobbies.
