Our Providers
Mark Barnhurst, LCMHC
As a compassionate and caring therapist, I understand the importance of validating the challenges each of us goes through. I believe the pathway to healing is a bit different for everyone, and I work to create a safe and trusting environment to help each person gain insight in solving their own trials and challenges. In therapy, I may incorporate EMDR, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and other therapeutic approaches. I help individuals understand, accept, and apply coping skills to improve their ability to handle issues, change behavior, and improve life satisfaction. My expertise is working with young adults, as well as adults and the elderly community. I help them work through issues of depression, anxiety, OCD, anger management, minor addictions, PTSD, and trauma. I have a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University and am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, unplugging, and spending time with my family.
